After the fall of the Roman Empire, competitive boxing mostly vanished for several centuries. The sport reappeared in 17th century England in the form of freehand fights.
As the popularity of boxing arose, so did the amounts of money that wealthy aristocrats play on their favourite fighters. Because of this, rules were established and the sport began to become more organized.

Boxing came to the America in the 1830s when British boxers came awaiting for new competitors to fight. In the second half of the 19th century, Theodore Roosevelt arose an enthusiasm for the sport and recommended for its practice.

Olympic boxing
The Olympic history of boxing began in 688 BC. C. with the inclusion of sport in the 23rd Olympiad of ancient games. There were no rounds or weight classes. Competitors simply fought until someone either acknowledged defeat or was unable to continue fighting.
Boxing made its debut at the modern-day Olympics in 1904 in St. Louis. Women’s boxing was not included in the Olympics until more than a century later at the 2012 games in London.
Boxing moves
Boxing moves fall into three categories:
Postures There are many variations, but the most common stance used by right-handed fighters is the orthodox, leading with the left foot and left fist. Left-handed boxers, or left-handed fighters, reflect this position, leading with the right foot and right fist. The body can be turned slightly to the side for a defensive position or it can be square with an opponent in a more aggressive position. These poses can be done standing or semi-crouching.
Punching. There are four main punches in boxing: jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. The jab is a quick, direct hit that is thrown with the lead hand. The cross is a direct punch that is thrown with the back hand. The hook is a semicircular punch that is thrown with the lead hand pointing to the side of the head. The uppercut is a vertical punch that is thrown upward with the back hand aimed at the torso or chin.
Defending. Basic defense moves involve footwork to evade a blow, block, swing and zigzag, rotate the body, cover and hold on.
Boxing Styles and live streams
Each boxer develops his own personal style. However, there are three main styles of boxing that are widely recognized:
In-fighter (also known as swarmer). Fighters prefer to stay close to their opponent and apply pressure with a constant stream of attacks. Inside fighters tend to be quick on their feet and primarily use uppercuts and hooks. This style is often favored by shorter fighters with a shorter reach. Famous wrestlers include Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, and Gennady Golovkin.
Outside fighter (also known as outside boxer). Fighters are also quick on their feet, but they like to keep some distance from an opponent. Fighters rely on longer-range punches like jabs and crosses. Some famous outside wrestlers are Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Outside wrestlers often wear down their opponents.
Slugger (also known as a brawler or puncher). What sluggers lack in finesse they make up for in raw power.
Sluggers tend to be slow and fairly predictable, but can often knock out opponents with a single punch. George Foreman and Vitali Klitschko are notable sluggers.
The effectiveness of these styles against each other is often compared to the rock-paper-scissors game because each has advantages over one style but disadvantages over another. For example, the strength of a slugger can beat an internal fighter, while the speed and melee fighting style of the fighter tend to be successful against outside fighters. However, fighters are faster than sluggers, and a fighter can often wear down a slugger, as long as they can avoid the slugger’s knockout punch.
Because of this, fighters who can combine multiple styles tend to be more versatile and more successful than those who stick to one style. This is only the reason that now people in all over the world can watch boxing live streams from where ever they are and enjoy their favourite sport’s night.
